Nawabshah, 17 August 2025 — The National Disability and Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, led by President Abid Lashari (also CEO of the Pakistan Down Syndrome Association), celebrated his official nomination for the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz—a prestigious Pakistan Civil Award—by President Asif Ali Zardari, in recognition of his dedicated services for persons with disabilities.

A heartfelt celebration was held at the NDF head office, where Mr. Lashari was warmly welcomed, garlanded, and honored by team members. NDF Program Manager Tariq Hussain Chandar remarked that this accolade transcends personal achievement—it stands as a symbol of collective pride and encouragement for the entire disability community in Nawabshah and beyond.
Advancing Inclusion and Recognition
Under Abid Lashari’s leadership, NDF and PDSA have initiated impactful programs in education, health, rehabilitation, employment, and social protection services for people with disabilities across Sindh and other regions. The nomination is a national recognition of his unwavering mission and leadership.
Looking Ahead — March 2026 Investiture
The Tamgha-e-Imtiaz will be formally conferred during Pakistan Day’s Investiture Ceremony on 23 March 2026—a milestone event for Mr. Lashari and the broader disability rights community.
