Rickshaw Driver Killed, Three Injured in Faisalabad Accident

FAISALABAD — A tragic accident occurred near Salooni Jhall on Samundri Road under Batala Colony police jurisdiction late Monday night. A rickshaw driver lost his life, while three passengers were injured in this unfortunate incident. Accident Details The collision happened when a speeding tractor-trolley hit a rickshaw. The driver, identified as Sana Ullah, sustained severe injuries and died at the scene, as confirmed by a Rescue 1122 spokesman. Passenger Injuries Rescue teams quickly attended to the injured passengers, providing first aid. The identified passengers were: Sarfraz, aged 30 Urooj, aged 20 Nisar, aged 28 Luckily, the passengers suffered only minor injuries. Official Response No information has yet been released regarding any arrests or charges related to this accident.

Faisalabad Development Authority Plans Plot Auction for June 22

FAISALABAD — The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) will conduct an auction for commercial and residential plots on June 22, 2026, at 11 a.m. The event will be held at the FDA Head Office, opposite Civil Hospital. Meeting Overview FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry led a meeting to discuss details of selected plots for auction. Junaid Hassan Manj, Director Estate Management-I, briefed attendees about plots available in Ahmad Nagar, Millat Town, Madina Town, and Allama Iqbal Colony. These plots are designated for education, healthcare, and public utilities across 126 private housing schemes. Gulistan Plaza Rental Space The meeting also addressed the auction of rental spaces at Gulistan Plaza, including 19 shops and larger halls available for rent. Madina Town Plot An FDA-owned plot near the Hockey Stadium in Madina Town, measuring 9.43 kanals, will be leased. It can be leased fully or divided into three parts. Terms and conditions for the auction are finalized and will be widely advertised across the city. FDA aims to maximize public engagement and raise awareness about the auction through various publicity channels, as directed by the Director General.
