Rickshaw Driver Killed, Three Injured in Faisalabad Accident

FAISALABAD — A tragic accident near Salooni Jhall on Samundri Road under Batala Colony police jurisdiction claimed the life of a rickshaw driver and injured three passengers late Monday night. Collision Overview The accident occurred when a speeding tractor-trolley collided with a rickshaw. Sana Ullah, the rickshaw driver, sustained severe injuries and died at the scene. Rescue 1122 confirmed his death. Passenger Injuries Rescue teams quickly provided first aid to the injured passengers. The injured include: Sarfraz, aged 30 Urooj, aged 20 Nisar, aged 28 Fortunately, their injuries were minor. Investigation Status As of now, no arrests or charges have been reported concerning this accident.

Faisalabad Development Authority Plans Plot Auction for June 22

FAISALABAD — The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) is set to conduct an auction of commercial and residential plots on June 22, 2026, at 11 a.m. The auction will take place at the FDA Head Office, located opposite Civil Hospital. Plot Auction Meeting FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry presided over a meeting to discuss the details of plots selected for auction. During the meeting, Junaid Hassan Manj, Director of Estate Management-I, provided an overview of the available plots in Ahmad Nagar, Millat Town, Madina Town, and Allama Iqbal Colony. These are intended for education, healthcare, and public utilities across 126 private housing schemes. Rental Opportunities at Gulistan Plaza The discussion also covered the auction of rental spaces at Gulistan Plaza. Here, 19 shops and larger halls will be available for rent, offering businesses prime space in a central location. Leasing Options for Madina Town Plot In Madina Town, near the Hockey Stadium, an FDA-owned plot measuring 9.43 kanals is set to be leased. This plot can be leased as a whole or divided into three parts, based on interest. The terms and conditions of the auction have been finalized and will be promoted across the city through various channels to ensure maximum public involvement. The FDA aims to boost public engagement and increase awareness about the auction, as directed by the Director General.

Record-Holding Robber Killed in Faisalabad Police Encounter

FAISALABAD — A notorious robber, Mubasshar alias Bachhi, was killed in a police encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) teams in Faisalabad. The incident occurred near Chak 236/R-B Kajlay Wala Road, within the Roshanwala police station’s jurisdiction. Details of the Police Raid A police spokesman stated that CCD teams, including Inspector Hassan Sadiq Cheema of Lyallpur Division, Ali Akram Goraya of Iqbal Division, and Inspector Umar Sarfraz Waraich from CCD Headquarters, conducted a raid. The operation aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes. During the arrest attempts, the authorities faced gunfire from the suspects, leading to a prolonged exchange of fire. The Fatal Encounter In the gunfire exchange, Mubasshar was injured and captured. Unfortunately, he later died from his injuries at a hospital. Despite his capture, his accomplices successfully fled the scene. Mubasshar’s Criminal Involvement Police records reveal Mubasshar’s involvement in over 50 cases of robbery, theft, and other major crimes. He was also the prime suspect in a recent shop robbery within the Saddar police station’s jurisdiction. The authorities have taken Mubasshar’s body for legal procedures and continue efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects, as confirmed by the police spokesman.
