The upgradation of Gol Bagh Park in Multan is nearing completion, with Commissioner Amir Karim Khan announcing on August 26, 2025, that new internal and external gates, a fountain, and a walking track are nearly installed.

The project, part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s urban development vision, aims to enhance recreational spaces for residents.

During a site visit, Khan told NEN, “We’re ensuring timely delivery to make Gol Bagh a family-friendly hub”

The Rs. 30 million project includes landscaping, seating areas, and enhanced lighting, with 80% of the work completed (web:0, web:4, web:5). The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has planted 500 native trees, boosting greenery in Gulgasht Colony, near the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (web:4, web:11, web:13, web:14, web:15, web:16, web:17).

The upgraded park will feature children’s play areas and waste management systems, with completion expected by mid-September. Local residents have praised the initiative, requesting additional amenities like a jogging path. Khan directed the PHA to maintain quality standards and accelerate work.
