Maroof International Hospital Marks Independence Day with Solidarity for Palestine

Islamabad, 17 August 2025 —

Maroof International Hospital commemorated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day under the theme “Marka-e-Han – united in valor, united in cause”, with a special show of solidarity for the people of Palestine.


A Heartfelt Tribute from Palestine

During the event, Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan, Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamadallah Zaid, acknowledged Pakistan’s steadfast moral, political, and humanitarian support for the Palestinian cause. He described Pakistan not only as a friend, but as a “brother in our struggle”, and extended his prayers for Pakistan’s continued progress and prosperity.


Joint Initiative by Hospital and Embassy

Chairman of Maroof International Hospital, Ch. Naseer Ahmed, announced a partnership with the Palestinian Embassy to launch a series of free medical camps and a fundraising campaign benefiting the Palestinian people. He emphasized that while celebrating Pakistan’s freedom, the hospital remains committed to standing shoulder to shoulder with Palestine in pursuit of dignity, peace, and justice.


Symbols of Unity and Hope

Hospital CEO Sahil Naseer called on attendees to use Independence Day as a reminder of the shared responsibility to build a future founded on compassion and courage.

The hospital premises were adorned with both Pakistani and Palestinian flags, symbolizing the enduring bond between the two nations.


Celebrating Unity Through Fun & Recognition

An inter-departmental decoration competition added a vibrant touch to the festivities:

1st Place: Radiology Department

2nd Place: Accident & Emergency Department

3rd Place (tie): Rehabilitation, Finance, and Human Resources Departments

Certificates and cash awards were presented by Ambassador Dr. Zaid and Chairman Ch. Naseer Ahmed.
