Islamabad, 17 August 2025 — Maroof International Hospital celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with the theme “Marka-e-Han – united in valor, united in cause.” The event in Islamabad focused on demonstrating strong solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Solidarity with Palestine
Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamadallah Zaid, Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan, commended Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and humanitarian support for Palestine. He described Pakistan as a “brother in our struggle” and expressed wishes for Pakistan’s continuous prosperity, highlighting the deep bond between the two nations.
Medical Aid Initiative
Maroof International Hospital’s Chairman, Ch. Naseer Ahmed, announced a new partnership with the Palestinian Embassy. This collaboration aims to set up free medical camps and initiate a fundraising campaign to assist Palestinians. The hospital remains committed to supporting Palestine while celebrating Pakistan’s freedom, focusing on achieving dignity, peace, and justice for Palestine.
Unity and Symbolism
CEO Sahil Naseer encouraged attendees to view Pakistan Independence Day as a reminder of shared responsibilities. He promoted a future built on compassion and courage. The display of both Pakistani and Palestinian flags symbolized the enduring friendship between the countries.
Competitions and Awards
The celebrations featured an inter-departmental decoration competition, which added to the festive atmosphere. Various departments expressed their patriotism through the competition. The winners were:

- 2nd Place: Accident & Emergency Department
- 3rd Place (tie): Rehabilitation, Finance, and Human Resources Departments
Ambassador Dr. Zaid and Chairman Ch. Naseer Ahmed presented certificates and cash prizes during the ceremony in Islamabad.
