The DHA’s efforts include 1,200 indoor teams, including female sanitary controllers, and student-led awareness campaigns offering academic rewards .

Over 30,000 dengue cases have been recorded in high-risk zones in recent years, with a new polio campaign set for September 1–4 targeting Rawalpindi city and Cantonment areas.

The DHA is leveraging media and community partnerships to educate residents, alongside deploying larvicide in stagnant water hotspots. Deputy Commissioner Ali Raza emphasized, “Community engagement is our backbone.”

The campaigns aim to reduce dengue peaks in September–November and achieve polio-free status by 2026.
