Islamabad, August 20, 2025 – Officers from the 38th Senior Management Course held an interactive session with Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Dr. Musadik Malik, on Tuesday.
The meeting focused on Pakistan’s efforts to combat climate change, with emphasis on agriculture and food security.
Dr. Musadik Malik briefed the officers on ongoing mitigation and adaptation strategies. He highlighted initiatives to strengthen resilience in climate-sensitive sectors and ensure sustainable food systems.
He also addressed critical issues like water scarcity and low water productivity, linking them to food security challenges.
The Minister stressed the need for innovative, localized solutions to boost water use efficiency and agricultural productivity. The session underscored Pakistan’s commitment to tackling climate impacts through targeted policies and collaborative efforts.
