Islamabad, August 22, 2025, 12:29 PM PKT – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced the launch of an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based application by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to streamline immigration and combat human trafficking. The pilot project will begin at Islamabad International Airport.

During a visit to FIA Headquarters, Naqvi chaired a high-level meeting with Additional Director Generals and Directors, reviewing modernization efforts. The AI app aims to enhance security and efficiency, addressing trafficking networks while simplifying passenger processes.

Naqvi pledged full resource support, urging FIA to deliver results. DG FIA Raja Riffat Mukhtar updated on reforms, including e-office adoption and QR-coded notices for transparency. The initiative marks a step toward modernizing immigration controls.
