DPM Dar Departs for Historic Two-Day Visit to Bangladesh

Dhaka, August 23, 2025, 10:43 AM PKT – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar left for Bangladesh today on a two-day official visit, marking the first such trip by a Pakistani foreign minister in 13 years. The visit, at the invitation of the Bangladeshi government, aims to strengthen bilateral ties.

In Dhaka, Dar will meet Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain. Discussions will cover Pakistan-Bangladesh relations, trade, and regional issues. Recent diplomatic breakthroughs, including visa-free travel for diplomats and direct sea trade, set the stage for this engagement.

The visit underscores a renewed commitment to enhance cooperation, following high-level military and trade talks between the two nations.
