Islamabad, August 24, 2025, 03:13 PM PKT – ICT Police Intensify Bani Gala Crackdown, Arrest Two Suspects
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police intensified their crackdown on criminal activities in Bani Gala, arresting two suspects during a follow-up grand search and combing operation on August 24, 2025.
The operation, building on the previous day’s efforts, targeted illegal activities to ensure public safety in the capital’s rural zone.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation, led by the Rural Superintendent of Police, involved Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and female officers.
Teams checked 85 individuals, 70 households, and 45 shops, seizing three unlicensed firearms and one undocumented vehicle.
“Our goal is to eliminate crime and secure Bani Gala,” said SP Rural, as reported to APP, following directives from DIG Syed Ali Raza for district-wide operations.
The arrested suspects are under investigation for links to local criminal networks.
The ICT Police plan to expand such operations to other areas, with enhanced biometric verification and community cooperation.
DIG Raza urged citizens to report suspicious activities via the Pukar-15 helpline.
