The Prime Minister’s Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme (PMYB&ALS) announced plans to disburse Rs. 350 billion by 2026, building on its success of empowering 434,448 young entrepreneurs with Rs. 251.25 billion, as stated by Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan on August 31, 2025.
Khan told NEN, “We aim to support 600,000 more youth by next year.”
The scheme, prioritizing 33% female participation, has launched 50 new training centers to guide applicants, with 15 banks processing 10,000 monthly loans for SMEs and agriculture.

The initiative has created 1.2 million jobs, with a focus on IT and agribusiness startups. FPCCI urged faster processing to meet demand. “This fuels our economy,”
