ISLAMABAD — Recently, Islamabad’s private schools have enrolled more than 4,000 out-of-school children. This achievement is part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative under the ‘No Child Left Behind’ campaign, which aims to promote educational inclusion. Survey and Findings A detailed survey was conducted during a progress review meeting at PEIRA Headquarters, led by Chairman PEIRA, Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah. This survey covered approximately 80,000 households in rural Union Councils of Islamabad. It identified over 24,000 children aged 5 to 16 who were not attending school. These children have been referred to the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and PEIRA for school placement. Role of Private Schools Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah praised the private schools for their significant contribution to this national initiative. More than 4,000 children were enrolled at no cost, showcasing the essential role of private schools in reducing educational disparities. He emphasized their commitment to social responsibility and educational equity. Moreover, providing free textbooks and learning materials to the enrolled children was stressed to aid their educational journey.
