Balochistan Raises Salaries and Pensions by 7 Percent

QUETTA — The Balochistan government has announced a 7 percent increase in salaries and pensions for provincial employees for the financial year 2026-27. This decision aligns with the federal model, despite the province’s challenging financial situation.

During the Annual Budget 2026-27 session, Finance Minister Shoaib Nosherwani made the announcement, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of its employees. He also noted plans to develop comprehensive strategies aimed at creating new employment opportunities for the youth in the province.

The salary and pension increment aims to provide economic relief to government employees, reflecting the provincial administration’s prioritization of public sector worker welfare amid financial constraints.
