ISLAMABAD — A local man provided fresh water to a Blue-and-Yellow Macaw and a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo at the Rawal Lake bird cage as soaring temperatures marked a summer heatwave in the region.
Efforts to maintain the birds’ health and comfort have intensified due to the extreme weather conditions. The provision of cool, fresh water is part of these measures to ensure the birds remain hydrated and can better cope with the heat.
Rawal Lake, a popular recreational spot, is home to various bird species that require additional care during the harsh summer. The initiative was praised by visitors and bird enthusiasts observing the situation.
