Dar, Egyptian FM Back Mediation Efforts for Regional Peace

ISLAMABAD — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on Thursday, with both officials expressing hope that ongoing mediation efforts would lead to an early understanding between the parties involved.

The two ministers said they expected the diplomatic initiatives to contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region, according to a statement released following the call.

The conversation reflects growing engagement between Islamabad and Cairo on regional diplomatic developments, as multiple countries pursue mediation tracks aimed at de-escalating tensions across the Middle East.
