ISLAMABAD — Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb presented a federal budget amounting to Rs18.771 trillion for the fiscal year 2026-27 in the National Assembly on Friday. The new budget reflects a 6.81 percent increase from the Rs17.573 trillion allocated for the previous fiscal year.
The finance minister highlighted the budget’s focus on promoting economic growth and addressing key areas requiring financial support. The fiscal plan aims to balance growth-oriented strategies with fiscal responsibility as the government navigates economic challenges.
