Freelance Surge Boosts Pakistan’s Digital Economy, Says Official

ISLAMABAD — Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has praised the significant increase in earnings by Pakistani freelancers, as reported in the Economic Survey 2025-26. He stated that the growth underscores the talent, innovation, and global competitiveness of the country’s youth.

The findings, released by the federal government, reveal a robust expansion in the freelance sector, contributing substantially to Pakistan’s digital economy. The report highlights how the digital skills and services provided by young Pakistanis have increasingly attracted international clients.
