LAHORE — Two robbers were apprehended in injured condition following alleged police encounters at separate locations within Lahore’s Iqbal Town division on Saturday.
The first incident occurred near the Doongi Ground in Huma Block of the Iqbal Town police jurisdiction. Police reported that upon arrival, the suspects opened fire, prompting a retaliatory action. One suspect, identified as Abdul Rasheed, with a criminal history of over 27 incidents, was injured and arrested while his accomplice, Asif, managed to escape and is currently being sought.
In a separate encounter, another suspect named Haider Ali was also injured in a retaliatory police action, though his three accomplices managed to flee. Both encounters were initiated based on information regarding the presence of the robbers in these areas.
