ISLAMABAD — The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) has released a substantial 260,100 cusecs of water from various rim stations, with an inflow recorded at 258,300 cusecs.
Tarbela Dam Levels
IRSA data reveals that the water level at Tarbela Dam, located on the River Indus, is currently 1,445.06 feet. This measurement is 45.06 feet above the dead level of 1,402 feet. The dam is managing an inflow of 145,200 cusecs while maintaining an outflow of 145,700 cusecs.
Mangla Dam Statistics
On the Jhelum River, Mangla Dam’s water level has risen to 1,172.05 feet, exceeding its dead level by 122.05 feet. At Mangla, the inflow is documented at 35,700 cusecs, with an outflow of 37,000 cusecs.
Water Release Across Pakistan
Across Pakistan, the water release has been recorded at various strategic points:
- Kalabagh: 204,300 cusecs
- Taunsa: 160,600 cusecs
- Guddu: 109,900 cusecs
- Sukkur: 47,700 cusecs
Moreover, River Kabul has released 50,800 cusecs at Nowshera, and the River Chenab has discharged 8,000 cusecs at Marala.
