Beijing: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar expressed honour after meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official visit to China.
In a statement on Tuesday, Senator Dar highlighted the warm exchange of sentiments during the meeting, underscoring the deep and time-tested friendship between Pakistan and China.
“Pakistan deeply values the strength of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership,” Dar said. He noted that the bilateral ties continue to grow from strength to strength, firmly rooted in mutual respect, shared aspirations, and a strong commitment to regional peace, connectivity, and economic development.
The meeting comes as both countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations, with enhanced focus on expanding cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other strategic initiatives.
