NCHD, Partners Hold Seminar to Combat Child Labour in Sargodha

SARGODHA — The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Sargodha convened a seminar Wednesday to address child labour Pakistan challenges. The organization partnered with the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) and the People’s Social Welfare Society for this crucial initiative.

Stakeholders Unite Against Child Labour

The seminar took place at the E-Library Sports Complex in Sargodha. Representatives from multiple government bodies attended the event.

Civil society organizations also participated in the discussions. The gathering focused on tackling the persistence of child labour in the Sargodha region.

Participants examined current challenges and potential solutions to protect vulnerable children.

Child Labour Remains Critical National Challenge

Child labour continues to affect millions of children across Pakistan. These children are deprived of fundamental educational opportunities.

Many face exposure to hazardous working conditions daily. The practice prevents children from accessing their basic rights.

It perpetuates cycles of poverty and underdevelopment in affected communities.

Organizations Launch Comprehensive Protection Framework

NCHD and CPWB lead awareness initiatives as part of broader national campaigns. These organizations actively work to enforce child protection laws throughout Pakistan.

Key Protection Initiatives

Their collaborative efforts include:

  • Conducting community awareness seminars
  • Implementing rehabilitation programmes for rescued children
  • Coordinating with government bodies on enforcement
  • Providing educational support for affected families

The partnership between NCHD, CPWB, and welfare organizations strengthens child protection frameworks. Collaborative efforts aim to eliminate child labour through sustained intervention and community support.
