ISLAMABAD — On Friday, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of the National Assembly, informed the House that the opposition had exceeded its allocated budget debate time by more than five hours.
Debate Time Allocation
The opposition members were initially allocated nine hours for their participation in the budget discussion. This time allotment aimed to ensure a balanced representation of various views in the debate.
Actual Debate Duration
In reality, 62 opposition lawmakers extended their discussion to a total of 14 hours, 4 minutes, and 28 seconds. This duration substantially surpassed the allocated time.
