ISLAMABAD — Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi announced that over 15,000 police officers and personnel have been deployed to ensure security during Muharram-ul-Haram in the federal capital. The extensive security measures aim to safeguard 177 processions and 929 Majalis taking place across Islamabad.
During a visit to Imambargah Asna Ashri, IGP Rizvi emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and security during this significant period. The deployments include specialized units with the objective of preventing any untoward incidents and providing a secure environment for participants.
Muharram-ul-Haram is observed with processions and gatherings, requiring intensive security arrangements. The police strategy focuses on vigilance and quick response capabilities to address any potential threats.
