Pakistan embassies Independence Day celebrations 2025

Pakistani embassies and consulates worldwide celebrated the country’s 78th Independence Day on August 14 with great enthusiasm. These diplomatic missions organized flag-hoisting ceremonies, cultural performances, and community gatherings to honor Pakistan’s achievements.

Saudi Arabia Celebrations

In Jeddah, Consul General Khalid Majid presided over a solemn ceremony at the Chancery building, which is under construction. The event featured legendary cricketer Javed Miandad and numerous community members.

Students delivered patriotic speeches and relayed messages from Pakistan’s leadership. Khalid Majid honored Pakistan’s founding fathers and highlighted recent triumphs such as Marka-e-Haq.

He praised national unity during Operation Bunyan-Al-Marsoos and reaffirmed support for Kashmir and Palestine, commending the Egyptian community for enhancing bilateral relations.

United Arab Emirates Celebrations

Abu Dhabi Event

In Abu Dhabi, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi led the celebrations, emphasizing unity, faith, and discipline as key pillars for Pakistan’s progress.

He highlighted the diaspora’s contribution of $7.9 billion in remittances and introduced a new online passport/NICOP tracking system. The event at Dubai Expo City attracted 60,000 attendees, marking it as the largest gathering of its kind.

Dubai Consulate Ceremony

Consul General Hussain Muhammad reflected on Pakistan’s resilience during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, expressing gratitude to the UAE for supporting large-scale celebrations.

He acknowledged the UAE-Pakistan community’s contributions to the development of both nations.

Singapore Observance

In Singapore, Chargé d’Affaires Salman Mahmood raised the national flag at Pakistan House. He paid homage to the leaders of the Pakistan Movement and the Armed Forces.

Mahmood encouraged the diaspora to contribute actively to Pakistan’s economy and reaffirmed solidarity with Kashmir.
