Leadership Convenes at Soy Connext 2025
The event, held in mid-August in Washington, DC, underscored soybeans’ key role in global food security. Organized by the United States Soybean Export Council, it attracted over 700 participants from 59 countries.
Attendees deliberated on soy’s potential to support a growing global population. Trade groups from 34 countries, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, visited US farms and ports to witness innovations that establish US soy as a reliable supplier worldwide.
Economic Contributions of the US Soybean Industry
The US soybean industry substantially impacts the economy. In 2024, it contributed $31.2 billion and reached over 80 countries. Global usage is expected to hit 346 million metric tonnes this year, illustrating soy’s crucial role in poultry, dairy, and aquaculture sectors globally.

The All-Pakistan Solvent Extractors’ Association’s delegation met US farmers and suppliers to enhance bilateral trade opportunities, thus strengthening agricultural trade relations between Pakistan and the US.
