Pakistan Lawmakers Praise 2026-27 Budget as Pro-People

ISLAMABAD — Lawmakers from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday praised the Federal Budget for 2026-27, describing it as pro-people. Jamal Raisani of the PPP and Shaista Pervaiz Malik of the PML-N commended the government for presenting the budget amidst challenging economic conditions.

Both lawmakers emphasized that the budget reflects the government’s effort to provide relief to the populace despite fiscal constraints. The budget aims to address pressing economic issues while ensuring the welfare of the public, they noted.

The remarks from Raisani and Malik came in the wake of discussions in the National Assembly, where various stakeholders debated the implications and outcomes of the proposed budget.
