PESCO Targets Power Theft, Cuts 53 Illegal Connections in Dera

DERA ISMAIL KHAN — The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has initiated a major operation against electricity theft in multiple areas of Dera Ismail Khan, leading to the removal of 53 illegal power connections. The operation aims to curb power theft and enhance lawful electricity usage in the region.

The initiative was conducted under the directives of Superintending Engineer PESCO Dera Circle, Engineer Hizbullah Khan. The operation seeks to not only remove illegal connections but also to pursue legal action against those involved in electricity theft.

PESCO’s drive against electricity theft is part of a broader effort to ensure efficient power supply and reduce losses due to unauthorized usage. The company plans to continue such operations to promote accountability and compliance.
