PM Urges Quick Completion of 100 MW Gilgit-Baltistan Solar Project

ISLAMABAD — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed officials to expedite the federal government’s 100-megawatt solar power project in Gilgit-Baltistan. This initiative aims to solarize government buildings and is set for full operation by December 2026. The Baltistan Division component is expected to conclude by October 2026.

Timely Project Execution

During a review meeting on Tuesday, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of adhering to the project schedule. Timely completion is vital for ensuring a sustainable energy supply in the region. This project forms part of a broader government strategy to boost renewable energy resources across Pakistan.
