RAWALPINDI, August 14, 2025 — President Asif Ali Zardari presented Pakistan military honors to the officers and personnel of the Pakistan Armed Forces. These accolades recognized extraordinary courage during Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos. An official ISPR release detailed the ceremony, expressing the nation’s gratitude for the military’s dedicated service.
Distribution of Military Honors
A total of 488 military honors were awarded to armed forces personnel, acknowledging their bravery and outstanding national service. The honors distributed included:
- 8 Sitara-i-Jurat
- 5 Tamgha-i-Jurat
- 24 Sitara-i-Basalat
- 45 Tamgha-i-Basalat
- 146 Imtiazi Sanad
- 259 COAS Commendation Cards
- 1 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military)
Recipients of Sitara-i-Jurat
The Sitara-i-Jurat, Pakistan’s third-highest military honor for valor, was awarded to eight distinguished Air Force officers for their exceptional bravery. Among the recipients were Wing Commanders Bilal Raza and Hammad Ibne Masood. Squadron Leaders M Yousaf Khan, Muhammad Osama Ishfaq, Muhammad Hassan Anees, Talal Hassan, Fida Muhammad Khan, and Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Ashhad Amir were also honored with this prestigious award.
