Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Begins Official Visit to Switzerland

ISLAMABAD — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Burgenstock, Switzerland, on an official visit. The visit’s agenda includes meetings and discussions with various international leaders and dignitaries.

While in Switzerland, Prime Minister Sharif, accompanied by Chief of Army Staff and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, will engage in talks with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and an accompanying delegation. These discussions will take place on the sidelines of technical talks between the U.S. and Iran, a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Islamabad.

The visit underscores Pakistan’s active involvement in initiatives aimed at regional peace and cooperation, with the Islamabad MoU serving as a pivotal point for the dialogues.
