Punjab Cabinet Sanctions Rs 5.335 Trillion Budget for 2026-27

LAHORE — The Punjab Cabinet has sanctioned a budget of Rs 5.335 trillion for the fiscal year 2026-27. The approval came during the 35th meeting of the provincial cabinet, chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday.

The budget aims to address various developmental and economic challenges within the province. The funds will be allocated across multiple sectors, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure development, to boost regional growth and improve public services.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the government’s focus on sustainable development and equitable allocation of resources. The cabinet’s formal approval now paves the way for presenting the budget to the provincial assembly for further deliberation and implementation.
