LAHORE — The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has imposed fines totaling Rs 1.15 million on various food production units for breaching food safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This crackdown, led by the Director General of PFA, targeted 14 locations across the province.

Consequently, several production units were sealed, and fines worth Rs 1.15 million were issued to these establishments. The Director General of PFA affirmed the authority’s commitment to strict food safety measures: “Our teams remain vigilant and will continue to take decisive action against food safety breaches.”
