MUZAFFARGARH — The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed a dairy unit located near Tileri Canal on Multan Road due to severe food safety violations. The facility was involved in the unhygienic production of sweetened milk bottles.
Severe Hygiene Breaches Uncovered
During the raid, PFA officials confiscated approximately 8,000 empty bottles along with other equipment. The dairy unit allegedly used contaminated ingredients. These included fungus-affected cardamom and unhygienic sugar.
Inspections revealed serious sanitation issues, such as rodent droppings and insect infestations within the storage area.
Authorities in Action
The operation was led by the Director General of the Punjab Food Authority, with support from the Additional Director General and Director Operations South Zone. This team is committed to tackling food safety violations.
The Director General emphasized ongoing efforts against food adulteration to safeguard public health. Authorities have promised strict action against those endangering citizens’ health.
