Punjab Food Authority Shuts Dairy Unit Over Hygiene Breaches

MUZAFFARGARH — The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed a dairy unit near Tileri Canal on Multan Road due to severe food safety violations. The facility was involved in the unhygienic production of sweetened milk bottles.

Severe Hygiene Breaches Uncovered

During the raid, PFA officials confiscated approximately 8,000 empty bottles and other equipment. The dairy allegedly used contaminated ingredients, including fungus-affected cardamom and unhygienic sugar.

Inspections revealed serious sanitation issues, such as rodent droppings and insect infestations in the storage area.

Authorities in Action

The operation was led by the Director General of the Punjab Food Authority, with support from the Additional Director General and Director Operations South Zone.

The Director General emphasized ongoing efforts against food adulteration to safeguard public health. Strict action is promised against those endangering citizens’ health.
