ISLAMABAD — The one-year pilot phase of the Retailer Tax Scheme will allow the government to assess the scheme’s effectiveness and address any implementation gaps, according to Syed Naveed Qamar, Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue.
The initiative aims to pinpoint shortcomings and rectify them, ensuring the scheme’s successful rollout. During a recent committee meeting, Qamar highlighted the importance of identifying potential challenges during this trial period.
The Retailer Tax Scheme is part of broader fiscal reforms intended to improve tax compliance and revenue collection within the retail sector.
