Compensation Package Details
The Sialkot flood compensation package directly supports families and farmers affected by the recent floods. Asif assured NEN, “We’re committed to swift rehabilitation for all affected.”
- Rs. 50,000 per household for 5,000 affected families
- Rs. 10,000 per acre for losses in agricultural crops
- Disbursements beginning September 5, 2025
Ongoing Relief Operations
Accompanied by MPAs, Asif ensured continued drainage operations across 20 villages in Sialkot. The district administration confirmed that 12 relief camps remain operational, supporting displaced residents.
These camps provide essential food and medical aid to approximately 3,000 displaced residents. Relief teams are actively assisting flood-affected communities throughout the district.
Infrastructure Repair Plans
The Defence Minister directed the PDMA to expedite infrastructure repairs in flood-damaged areas. The goal is to complete these repairs by October 2025, restoring normalcy in the affected zones.
“We stand with our people,” Asif stated during his visit to the affected communities. The government remains dedicated to restoring normalcy in Sialkot through comprehensive relief and rehabilitation measures.
