Telenor Pakistan Hosts Sustainability Expo 2026 for Climate Action

ISLAMABAD — Telenor Pakistan held its Sustainability Expo 2026 at its headquarters, focusing on climate action and sustainable living. The event, aimed at addressing growing environmental challenges, brought together employees, environmental innovators, and solution providers to highlight practical solutions for reducing environmental impact.

The Expo was inaugurated by Director General of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, Abrar Hussain, alongside Telenor Pakistan’s leadership. Hussain engaged with exhibitors, exploring a range of innovative sustainability solutions and noted the vital role the private sector can play in advancing Pakistan’s environmental agenda. He praised the Expo for encouraging more responsible living habits.

The event showcased various innovations, including construction bricks made from recycled plastic, reward-based reverse vending machines for plastic bottles, and eco-friendly products aimed at minimizing waste. Attendees engaged in interactive activities such as live plantation and urban gardening demonstrations, offering practical lessons for sustainable living.

Areej Khan, Chief People Officer at Telenor Pakistan, remarked, “Sustainability is not just a corporate commitment; it is a shared responsibility starting with each individual. The Expo is our way of bringing this belief to life.”
