Indian Sikh Pilgrims Arrive in Lahore for Anniversary
LAHORE — On Sunday, a group of 337 Sikh pilgrims from India arrived in Lahore through the Wagah border. They are visiting Pakistan to observe the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Warm Welcome at Wagah Border Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, President of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) and Punjab’s Minister for Minorities Affairs, welcomed the pilgrims. This group represents the second batch of Indian Sikh devotees attending the annual event. Cultural and Religious Connections The pilgrimage highlights the enduring cultural and religious bonds between the Sikh community and Pakistan. These visits are essential for fostering peace and understanding between the two countries.
