ISLAMABAD — The poetry collection “Ishq Ilham Hai” by Dr. Aqleem Fatimah was unveiled on Tuesday at The Black Hole Auditorium. The event, moderated by poet and journalist Sajjad Baloch, gathered literary scholars, poets, and readers to discuss contemporary Urdu poetry, women’s writing, and the role of poetry in human expression.
Dr. Ambreen Salahuddin described Fatimah’s work as intertwining love, spirituality, social consciousness, and lived experience, contributing to the tradition of women’s voices in Urdu literature. Poet and writer Harris Khalique praised the collection for its literary depth and nuanced exploration of social issues, emotional resilience, and human suffering, maintaining a connection to classical Urdu poetic traditions.
Dr. Aqleem Fatimah explained that “Ishq Ilham Hai” delves into love as a transformative force shaped by personal, social, and spiritual experiences, and she recited selected poems from the collection. The event concluded with an interactive discussion and a vote of thanks by Sajjad Baloch.
