Police Register Case After Assault on Sanitation Worker

MUZAFFARGARH — Police have registered a case against two suspects, Abid Hussain and his son Mubashar, following an alleged assault on a Suthra Punjab sanitation worker named Faheem. The incident was reported at the Khangarh police station.

According to the FIR, the worker was attacked with an iron wire and rubber pipe while he was performing his cleaning duties. Local residents intervened to prevent further injury to the victim.

Despite being alerted through the 15 helpline, the accused managed to flee the scene. Law enforcement has intensified efforts to apprehend them. The case was filed under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Juppa.

Suthra Punjab Managing Director Yousaf Chhina condemned the assault, stating that violence against sanitation workers performing public services is utterly unacceptable. He assured that measures to protect Suthra Punjab employees would be upheld uncompromisingly.
