Pakistan to Supply Wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa via PASSCO
ISLAMABAD — The Ministry of National Food Security, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is set to supply wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This federal initiative aims to address the ongoing food grain shortages in the northwestern province. Prime Minister’s Wheat Distribution Plan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the ministry to utilize the Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation Limited (PASSCO) for the wheat distribution. PASSCO is responsible for ensuring a streamlined process. PASSCO’s responsibilities include ensuring systematic distribution and maintaining an effective storage system. It oversees the transfer of wheat from federal reserves to provincial delivery sites. Addressing Food Shortages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recently experienced sporadic food grain shortages. The federal government intends to stabilize wheat availability in the region.
