ISLAMABAD — The Ministry of National Food Security has decided to supply wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation Limited (PASSCO), acting on directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Federal Minister for Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain said the move aims to shield residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from the impact of rising inflation. He said instructions have been issued to ensure immediate and effective wheat supply through PASSCO.
Rana Tanveer described the directive as “a practical step for food security and public relief,” adding that the prime minister’s intervention was aimed at stabilising flour availability in the province.
