LAHORE — A group of 337 Sikh pilgrims from India arrived in Lahore on Sunday via the Wagah border. The delegation is visiting to observe the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
The pilgrims were welcomed by Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, President of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) and Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs. The arrival marks the second batch of Indian Sikh devotees participating in the annual event.
The pilgrimage highlights the enduring cultural and religious ties between the Sikh community and Pakistan. Officials from both countries emphasized the importance of such visits in promoting peace and understanding.
