NEW DELHI — Pakistan’s High Commission in New Delhi has issued 438 visas to Indian pilgrims to mark the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The pilgrims will attend commemorative events in Pakistan from June 21 to June 30, 2026.
Charge d’Affaires Saad Ahmad extended his heartfelt felicitations to the pilgrims, underscoring the significance of the event for those participating. The issuance of visas is part of efforts to allow pilgrims to engage in religious activities across the border.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the founder of the Sikh Empire, is revered by Sikhs, making events commemorating his legacy significant for community members. This initiative reflects ongoing cooperation between India and Pakistan in facilitating religious exchanges.
