MULTAN — The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has confiscated and destroyed 370 kilograms of substandard spices and other materials during a series of raids in Multan. The crackdown targeted food adulteration and unhygienic production practices at local manufacturing units.
The authority’s inspection teams conducted operations at papad manufacturing units, drink corners, and a soda water plant. Significant quantities of non-compliant and unhygienic food items were seized and subsequently destroyed to ensure public health safety.
The PFA is intensifying its efforts to control food quality and prevent the distribution of adulterated products across the region. The raids are part of a broader initiative to uphold food safety standards and protect consumers.
