Over 15,000 Personnel Deployed for Muharram Security in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD — Over 15,000 police officers and personnel have been deployed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, for Muharram-ul-Haram security in the federal capital. The measures aim to protect 177 processions and 929 Majalis throughout Islamabad. Enhanced Security Measures The deployment includes specialized units focused on maintaining peace during this significant period. The primary goal is to prevent incidents and ensure a secure environment for all participants. IGP Rizvi’s Visit to Imambargah Asna Ashri During a visit to Imambargah Asna Ashri, IGP Rizvi underscored the importance of peace and security. He emphasized a strategy of vigilance and rapid response to potential threats. Muharram-ul-Haram Observances Muharram-ul-Haram features numerous processions and gatherings that require intensive security arrangements. The police are focused on vigilance, ensuring rapid responses to safeguard everyone’s safety.
