Faisalabad Crime Calls Drop by Half in June, Police Say
FAISALABAD — In June 2026, Faisalabad saw a sharp decline in emergency crime calls compared to the same month in the previous year. The Pakistan police attribute this decrease to intelligence-based operations, increased patrols, and enhanced surveillance technology. Significant Reduction in Emergency Calls A police spokesman disclosed that the helpline received only 307 calls in June 2026, a stark reduction from 710 calls in the first week of June 2025. This decrease of 403 calls represents approximately a 57% drop. On a significant day, the Rescue Helpline noted just 46 calls, whereas the previous year saw 80 calls on the same day. The substantial reduction highlights the improvement in crime call rates and the efficiency of emergency responses in Faisalabad. Strategic Policing Initiatives Police officials have outlined several strategies instrumental in reducing crime calls.
